Industrial Best Sellers: The Towing Lines, Shelving and Chain Kiwis Are Buying Now

Our first Industrial best sellers round-up covered Winchline, ratchet tie-downs, captive pin shackles, a cantilever racking bay and a big 70T towing sling. This time we went back through the last 90 days of orders, set those aside, and looked at what else Kiwis have been buying from our Industrial range. The answer: heavy-duty towing gear, workshop storage, safety rope, compliant trailer chain and good stainless shackles. Here are five genuine recent best sellers.

1. TiTAN Endless Sling Towing Line 42T - 6m

When you need to tow something seriously heavy, this is the kind of line operators reach for. It's a polyester endless sling inside a protective cover sleeve, and you can rotate the sling inside the cover to spread the wear. It's lighter and more flexible than wire, and each one carries a unique serial number. Contractors, salvage and heavy-vehicle operators buy it. Our headline pick for anyone drowning in gear. This heavy-duty steel longspan unit stands 2.1m tall, 1.5m wide and 900mm deep, with three levels, each supported by two beams and a melamine shelf. It's built for workshops, warehouses, retail backrooms and home garages, and it keeps boxes, tools and stock organised and easy to reach. 3. Yellow-Green Safety Rope 8mm x 220m

A full 220m coil of bright yellow-green 3-strand polypropylene, and it's been a steady seller. The high-visibility colour makes it ideal for marking off safety areas, and it's also used for safety lines, forestry ropes, slings, mooring and anchor lines. Polypropylene handles well, coils and knots easily, resists abrasion and hardly absorbs water. It has a listed breaking strain of 1346kg. Site managers, forestry crews and farmers all buy it by the coil.

4. Trailer Chain - 10mm x 500mm (8 Links)

Pre-cut, ready-to-fit trailer safety chain. It's Grade 70 high-tensile long link with a gold passivated coating, rated for a 3.5T maximum towing mass, and marked to NZS5467 so it meets the NZ standard. Anyone building, repairing or upgrading a trailer picks these up, and at this price it's an easy job to get your safety chains sorted before your next WoF or road trip. Towing lighter? 5. S360CI M8 316 Socket Drive D Shackle

Small, but these Anzor stainless shackles sell steadily. This one is 8mm 316 stainless with a socket drive pin, and the product page notes it's great for an anchor with a slot, like the Rocna RRR in 4kg or 6kg. Its close cousin, the 6mm D-Shackle with a hexagonal sunk pin at $8.99, is just as popular: the pin sits flush so it won't snag on lines or deck fittings. Boaties in NZ and across the Pacific Islands, where saltwater eats cheap hardware, choose 316 stainless for exactly that reason.
