The Maxwell VC1000 12 Volt Vertical Anchor Winch Capstan has a dual direction 1000 Watt motor and is suitable for rope only.It is an extremely versatile vertical capstan for use as a rope only anchor winch, or as a general purpose electric winch for rope hauler,  pot hauler or davit winch.

The VC Series is designed for simple, low cost anchor recovery on smaller boats and rope hauling on larger vessels. It can also be mounted horizontally for use as a pot hauler or davit winch.

Keep in mind that VC units do not normally require a dual direction solenoid.  If using a Maxwell Heavy Duty Footswitch which is rated at 150amp a single direction solenoid isn’t required.  If using a Maxwell Compact Footswitch (light duty & 5amp rating) a single direction solenoid will be required.
