About Flounder in New Zealand

Flounder thrive in shallow waters up to 50 metres deep, especially in harbours, estuaries, and muddy bays. They’re most abundant in northern inshore areas during the summer months. Common species include the Yellowbelly Flounder (plumper with small eyes and large dark-edged scales) and the Sand Flounder.

• Mesh Sizes: 118mm (4 ¾") to 165mm (6.5").

• South Island regulation-compliant Nine Mesh Deep Nets available.

• Made with braided lead-core bottom rope and floating top rope (with or without floats).
