Davey Microlene Acquasafe is a hydrogen peroxide-based water tank disinfectant that kills bacteria and viruses in rainwater and tank water supplies. The active ingredient breaks down into oxygen and water, leaving no taste, odour, colour, or chemical residuals in your drinking water. It is listed in the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines for use in treating drinking water.
One litre treats up to 15,000 litres of tank water and provides up to two months of residual protection under normal conditions. Available in 1L, 5L, and 25L sizes to suit household tanks of all sizes through to commercial and multi-tank setups.
Rainwater starts clean but picks up contamination the moment it contacts a roof, gutter, or collection surface. Bird and animal droppings, dust, and decaying leaf matter can all introduce bacteria, including E. coli, into a tank. Acquasafe is designed to manage this contamination at the source, giving you ongoing protection between top-ups. For protection against protozoan cysts such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium, pair Acquasafe with 1 micron depth filtration. We can advise on the right setup for your supply.
