Spark early maths curiosity for tamariki with this vibrant wooden puzzle by Australian brand Kiddie Connect.

Five familiar shapes break into jigsaw pieces that perfectly match their sides – two halves for the rectangle, three thirds for the triangle, four quarters for the square and five fifths for the pentagon – making fractions visible and touchable. Little hands practise colour grading and shape matching first, then revisit the board later to explore parts of a whole and simple percentages.

Crafted from sustainably sourced wood and finished with water-based stains, it is sturdy enough for classroom rotation and beautiful enough for the play shelf.
