Industrial Best Sellers: The Racking, Rigging, Winch Line and Trailer Chain Kiwis Are Buying Now

Spring is busy season in the yard, the workshop and on the trailer, so we went back through the last 90 days of orders in our Industrial range to see what Kiwis have genuinely been buying. We set aside everything we featured in our last few Industrial round-ups, and this time the list is all about lifting, hauling and keeping the workshop in order. Here are five real recent best sellers.

1. 2000mm Single-Sided Cantilever Racking - 4 Arm Starter Bay

Our headline pick. If pipe, timber, conduit or steel lengths are cluttering up your floor, this is the fix. The Actionoutdoors-East starter bay has 2000mm high posts with 1500mm between them, 950mm deep legs for a stable footprint and 700mm deep arms to cradle long, bulky gear. Each level is rated to 470kg. Workshops, garages, farm sheds and job sites buy it because it gets long stock up off the ground and easy to reach from one side.

2. Codipro GradUP Metric Double Swivel Ring 1.05T M12

A proper piece of rigging kit for people who lift for a living. This Codipro GradUP double swivel ring has a 1.05 tonne working load limit, an M12 thread with 1.75mm pitch and a compact 21mm thread length. It swivels a full 360 degrees under load and pivots 180 degrees, so it lines up with the load as it shifts. That means less twist and wear on your slings, chains and shackles. Riggers, fabricators and engineering shops buy it for lifting points that need to move with the load, and it comes with full traceability.

3. Winchline UHM12 12mm - by the Metre

Winchline by the metre is the biggest mover in our Industrial range over the last 90 days, and after the smaller sizes we've featured before, the heavy 12mm is next in line. It's sold by the metre, so you buy exactly the length you need. Donaghys say this 12-strand braid is 8 times lighter and 70% stronger than steel wire rope. It's Armorcoat-coated for abrasion resistance, low stretch, UV resistant and it floats. The product page lists vehicle winch and rescue lines, towing, logging, mining and pulling lines among its uses, which is exactly who's buying it.

4. Trailer Chain - 8mm x 580mm (14 Links)

Pre-cut safety chain in the longer 14-link length, for when the short stuff won't reach your coupling. It's Grade 70 long link with a gold passivated coating, rated for a 2.5T maximum towing mass and marked to NZ Standard NZS5467. Trailer owners and builders grab it to replace tired or rusty chains. It's a cheap job worth sorting before summer trips with the boat or box trailer.

5. D-Shackle Hexagonal Sunk Pin 10mm

A 10mm 316 stainless dee shackle with a hexagonal sunk pin. You tighten it down with a hex key, so nothing sticks out to snag lines or deck fittings. That makes it a good fit for boaties, and for anyone rigging gear where a proud pin would catch. The 316 stainless also suits wet and salty spots, whether that's around the NZ coast or across the Pacific Islands.
