Slung very loosely;
Designed for use in sheltered waters, it is unsuitable for surf beaches, dragging, or areas with many oysters, shells, etc.
Depending on tidal conditions, it requires at least half a kilo of anchors per 10m of the net on each end.
Action Fishing Nets are of the highest quality and slung mounted to catch the most fish for a given length. All our set nets are slung at a 50% slinging ratio, e.g., 2m of mesh for every 1m of the completed fishing net.
Most imported nets are made to a price rather than quality, and are slung at a slinging ratio of up to 70%, e.g., for every 2m of mesh, they make 1.4m of the completed net. When comparing prices of fishing nets, keep these factors of quality in mind.
