• Fineline polyester braid 5 series with 8 plait construction
• High tenacity UV stabilized polyester core and cover.
• Applications incl. general-purpose, tying and whipping, lacing cord, blind drawcord, mouse line, leech line
• Sizes available include 0.5mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 3.5mm, 4mm, 4.5mm, 5mm, 6mm, 6.5mm in Diameter
• Lengths available include 100m through to 1000m
• Solid black or white colour - other colours are available by special order

Polyester -Terylene, Dacron- Material Properties

Polyester is the most commonly used material in our range. It is also available in a wide range of colours and weights, the most common weights are 250, 500, 1000, 1500 denier.

It is resistant to UV rays and all colours are colourfast. Prolonged exposure in water has little or no lasting effects. It has good abrasion resistance, especially when twisted.

However, it can not be dyed used normal dyeing methods. It has low stretch and used in all 5 and 6 series, sash cords, luff cords, HJ series and yacht braids;

it is suitable for Halyards, Sheets, Reefing lines and control lines on cruising boats
