Splicing Fid Length Description

The length of the splicing tool called a "fid", may or may not have a 1:1 correlation with the fid length for a given rope diameter.

Fids are used for splicing ropes easily. These are made of stainless steel, with a wooden handle.

Fid Length Description

  • FID 385EM - For 20mm upward rope
  • FID 305EM - For 16mm to 20mm rope
  • FID 280EM - For 10mm to 16mm rope
  • FID 220EM - For mm to 10mm rope
