What Is Manila Rope?
Manila rope is made from the fibres of the abacá plant (Musa textilis), native to the Philippines. It's the strongest natural fibre rope available, prized for its:
- Natural golden-brown colour — beautiful rustic appearance
- Excellent grip — won't slip through hands, ideal for climbing
- Good UV resistance — lasts longer outdoors than other natural fibres
- Saltwater resistant — traditional marine rope choice
- Biodegradable — environmentally friendly disposal
