Mesh Sizes for Mullet Nets

Choosing the right mullet net mesh size is important for both catch rate and legal compliance. We offer:

• 85mm (3¼") — West Coast mullet, smaller fish
• 90mm (3½") — the most popular mesh size for mullet in NZ
• 100mm (4") — larger mullet, also catches kahawai

All mesh sizes comply with MPI recreational fishing regulations. Always check your local area rules before setting a net — New Zealand has seven fishing regions, each with different rules.
