Mesh Sizes for Piper Bait Nets

Our bait nets are available in high-quality nylon with excellent knot strength, specifically designed for live bait fishing. Mesh sizes include:

• 25mm mesh (1.0 inch)

• 32mm mesh (1 ¼ inch)

• 38mm mesh (1 ½ inch)

These nets are supplied with two strong ropes on each side (four total) for durability and ease of use.

MPI Rules for Drag Nets in NZ

All drag and set nets must comply with MPI recreational fishing rules in New Zealand:

• Drag nets must not exceed 40m in length

• Total warp length cannot exceed 200m

• Each person may only set or possess one drag net

• Nets must be hauled or retrieved by hand
