Product Description
UV-only disinfection units for mains, rainwater and bore water supplies. Five models, UV24 to UV250, cover 23 to 208 LPM at the 30 mJ/cm² dose rate. No chemicals are added, and UV treatment does not change the taste, smell or colour of the water. Pre-filtration is required upstream and is not included. WaterMark certified on UV24 to UV151.
Pro Tip: Bore water quality can vary significantly from one property to the next, so it's worth testing yours before settling on a UV system. If you'd like a hand with that, get in touch and we'll help you work out the right configuration for your supply.

FAQs
What happens if UVT drops below 75%?
Less UV light reaches organisms in the chamber, cutting the effective dose. Below 75% UVT, the flow rates in the specification table no longer apply, so the unit needs a reduced flow rate or pre-treatment to lift transmittance first.
Can two units run in series for backup protection?
Not as a standard configuration; it would need custom plumbing. Sizing one unit correctly for peak demand and keeping a spare lamp on hand is the simpler way to cover servicing gaps.
Does a power cut affect water safety once power is back?
Yes. No power means no UV dose while the lamp is off. Run the tap briefly after power returns to clear any untreated water sitting in the line.
Which model suits my home?
Match the model to your peak flow demand. UV24 suits single-tap or low-flow setups. UV57 suits small households. UV80 suits medium-sized homes. UV151 suits large homes or high-demand properties. UV250 suits high-flow applications. If you're not sure, get in touch, and we'll help you size it correctly.
Do these units include filter housings or cartridges?
No. These are standalone UV disinfection units only. Pre-filtration must be installed upstream, with at minimum 20-micron cartridge filtration, and 1 micron where Giardia or Cryptosporidium are a concern. Get in touch, and we'll recommend the right combination for your supply.
How often do I replace the lamp?
UV24, UV57 and UV80 should be replaced every 9,000 hours. UV151 should be replaced every 10,000 hours. UV250 should be replaced annually (9,000 hours / 1 year continuous use). The UV24–UV151 controllers include an advanced lamp change reminder. The UV250 alarms when the lamp fails; replace it annually as a matter of routine rather than waiting for the alarm.
Is the UV250 compatible with a standard NZ power outlet?
The UV250 operates on 230–240V/50Hz only and comes with a 1.7m power lead with a standard 3-pin plug. Confirm your installation is compatible before ordering.
Can the unit be installed horizontally or vertically?
Yes. Both orientations are supported. If installed horizontally, the outlet should point upwards. If installed vertically, the outlet should point horizontally. Mounting brackets are included.
Is UV suitable for rainwater or bore water?
Yes, subject to water quality. Incoming water must meet the water quality parameters listed above. Bore water quality varies significantly, so we recommend testing before installing. Get in touch, and we'll help you choose the right configuration for your supply.
What warranty comes with these units?
10 years on the stainless steel chamber, 3 years on electronics, and 12 months on UV lamps and quartz sleeves.
