Strong, steady water pressure for medium to large New Zealand homes. The Kaha Force Series is a horizontal multistage centrifugal pump with a pressure controller included — designed to boost pressure from a gravity-fed or already-pressurised water supply and deliver it consistently throughout the house.
The Force Series is not a lifting pump. It needs water supplied to it under gravity or low pressure — then it does the work of boosting that pressure up to your taps, showers, and appliances. The pressure controller handles start and stop automatically, so the pump runs only when there's demand.
Choose the Force III for small to medium homes and lifestyle blocks, or the Force IV for larger properties and higher-demand applications where head and flow capacity matter more.

Why Kiwi homeowners choose the Kaha Force Series
- Multistage centrifugal design — delivers higher, steadier pressure than a single impeller pump
- Pressure controller included — starts and stops automatically, plug and play
- Not a lifting pump — requires gravity-fed or low-pressure inlet supply
- Stainless steel pump body — built for New Zealand water conditions and outdoor installations
- IP44 motor protection — suitable for pump sheds and utility spaces
- Noise rated ≤ 72 dB(A) — efficient, unobtrusive operation
- 36-month Waimana warranty — backed by local support
How it works
The Kaha Force uses a horizontal multistage centrifugal design — water enters the pump under gravity or low inlet pressure, passes through multiple impeller stages, and exits at significantly higher pressure. Each stage adds pressure, which is why multistage pumps are well suited to applications where head and consistent pressure matter more than suction lift.
The included pressure controller manages the pump automatically. When a tap opens or an appliance draws water, the controller detects the demand and starts the pump. When flow stops, it shuts off.
Important: the Force Series requires water to arrive at the pump inlet under gravity or with minimal pressure — it is not designed to draw water up from a tank below. If your tank sits above or level with the pump, the Force Series is a strong fit. If your tank is below and you need suction lift, the Kaha Flow Series is the better choice.
Typical applications:
- Gravity-fed tank supply where higher pressure is needed
- Pressure boosting for medium to large homes
- Lifestyle blocks and rural properties with gravity-fed supplies
- Light farm or commercial use (Force IV)

Frequently asked questions
Which model is right for my home?
The Force III suits small to medium homes and lifestyle blocks — up to 66 L/min at a max head of 38 m. The Force IV is the stronger choice for larger homes, higher-demand properties, and light farm use — up to 116 L/min at a max head of 60 m. If you're not sure which fits your setup, get in touch and we'll help.
Is the Force Series the same as the Flow Series?
No — they're different pump types. The Flow Series is a self-priming jet pump that can lift water from a tank up to 8 m below the pump. The Force Series is a multistage centrifugal pump that boosts pressure from a gravity-fed or low-pressure supply — it is not designed to lift water from below. If your tank sits above or level with your pump location, the Force Series is the right choice. If your tank is below, look at the Flow Series instead.
Does my tank need to be above the pump?
Yes — the Force Series needs water to arrive at the inlet under gravity or with minimal inlet pressure. It can manage up to 1.5 m of suction lift, but it is not a self-priming lifting pump. In most gravity-fed tank setups where the tank sits at or above ground level and the pump is in a shed below, the Force Series works well. If you're unsure about your setup, get in touch before ordering.
What does the pressure controller do?
The pressure controller monitors flow and manages the pump automatically. When you open a tap or appliance, it detects demand and starts the pump. When flow stops, it shuts off. This keeps pressure consistent and protects the pump from running unnecessarily.
Do I need a plumber to install it?
We recommend a licensed plumber for most installations. The pump arrives with the controller pre-fitted and plugs into a standard power outlet, but the plumbing connections to your water supply and home should be done properly to protect the pump and your warranty. When in doubt, get a plumber in.
Can I pair it with a water filter?
Yes — a whole house filter installed after the pump is a common and practical combination. The pump provides the pressure, and the filter cleans the water before it reaches your taps. Get in touch if you'd like help choosing a filter to suit your setup.
How loud is it?
Both models are rated at ≤ 72 dB(A). Most customers find them unobtrusive in a pump shed or outdoor utility space.
Is it suitable for New Zealand water conditions?
Yes. The stainless steel pump body and IP44 motor protection are designed for the conditions typical of New Zealand tank water and outdoor pump installations.
What warranty do I get?
36 months, backed by Waimana's local support team.
