100mm mesh is legal everywhere in NZ. 90mm is legal for drag nets in some North Island areas. 85mm is limited to specific areas — check MPI rules before buying.
How deep should a mullet drag net be?
Our mullet drag nets are 30–33 meshes deep — deeper than standard to prevent mullet and kahawai from jumping over the top.
