This next-generation New Zealand-made anchor conforms to standard bow rollers and has been designed for extreme holding conditions and different seabed types. Use a Manson Supreme for a good night's sleep on board and to keep your family safe.

The Manson Supreme has earned an indisputable reputation worldwide as the highest holding - fastest setting anchor since 2006 when it first hit the market. Compared to more classical anchor designs, the bonus design feature is that the anchor was developed with a dual-operation shank to enable use in rock and coral seabed types.

Lloyd's Register EMEA has reviewed the anchor and received an SHHP status, Super High Holding Power. The first and only production boat anchor in the world to do so.

Construction of the Manson Supreme

Shank • Built from High Tensile Steel for extreme strength under load. Bisalloy 80 is 780 mMPa vs Mild Steel 260 mPa ensuring far greater shank resistance to deformation.

Fluke • Reinforced Double Skinned Laminated toe. It provides an extremely strong forward section of the anchor where the most loading is concentrated.

• Sharpened Spear Head. This feature ensures excellent penetration into the seabed.

Using high tensile Bisalloy 80 steel in the anchors, Manson has proven to be not only the highest holding but is officially the strongest anchor available. In destruction tests, Manson was 25% higher than any other anchor available in New Zealand.

All Supreme anchors are 'guaranteed for life against breakage'.

Manson Supreme Dual Shank

The Manson Supreme has the features to anchor in all seabed types. It’s the first anchor to utilise a dual shank anchoring configuration, enabling different slots for different ground conditions.

Using the rock slot, should the anchor become snagged, the shackle can slide to the front of the anchor where the traditional tripline was located and pull free. The rock slot feature makes the anchor ideal for anchoring in rock or coral conditions.

The anchor will remain buried using the sand slot even with significant wind shifts. The sand slot is ideal for all sand, mud, weed and grass conditions. The sand slot is also the recommended attachment for anchoring in extreme wind conditions.

Supreme Lloyd's Register Approval

The Supreme uses a roll bar instead of a heavily leaded tip to self-right. Weight can be distributed into the load-bearing fluke of the anchor. This increased surface area equates to much higher holding power.

After extensive seabed trialling of scale models and materials testing, Manson developed an anchor that unites immediate settings with Super High Holding Power. Lloyd's Register EMEA has officially approved this holding to be the highest recognised and certified anchor in the World. This is the first international anchor to receive Super High Holding Power approval for pleasure boat anchors.

Manson had to show that the Supreme could hold twice the amount of every other anchor available. Manson also had to prove the anchors could not be destroyed under lateral, vertical, and shock-loading loads.
