• The Design is Based on Lampara Style Nets used successfully overseas and input from Mike, our commercial fisherman with 40 years of fishing with nets experience.
• This Lampara-style Piper Bait net is designed to float off the bottom like a curtain and encircle baitfish attracted to the back of the boat by either your boat lights or burly.
• Net Can also be used as a Traditional Piper bait drag net in water less than 2 m deep.
• This net is only made in 40m length, as it will not work as a Lampara net if made any shorter.
• It is designed with extra floats in the middle and has extra depth in middle to create a bag like effect to hold the fish so they cannot escape.
• The net is made with 1-inch (25mm) Nylon mesh – green 6-ply ( which looks like old fashion cotton but is Nylon)x 100 meshes deep mesh, approx. 2m deep in wings and 3m in centre and has a heavy lead core rope for the bottom rope. Large EVA floats on top rope are featured to enable flotation.
