Buck Blade Steels Explained

  • 420HC — Buck's standard steel. Good balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Easy to sharpen.
  • S30V — Premium steel on higher-end models. Excellent edge retention. Harder to sharpen but holds an edge much longer.
  • S35VN — Top-tier. Slightly tougher than S30V with similar edge retention.
