RV & Motorhome Best Sellers: The Power, Sealing and Comfort Gear Kiwis Are Buying Now
Spring is properly here, and that means one thing for a lot of Kiwi caravan and motorhome owners: the pre-season once-over. Check the roof, sort the power, get the water running and make the van comfortable for summer nights. We looked through our real orders from the last 90 days to see which RV & Motorhome gear people are actually buying right now. These are genuine recent best sellers, not a wish list.
1. Southern Alps 10A Caravan Supply Adaptor – $92.00

This has been one of our busiest RV items over the last three months. It plugs into a standard household 10 amp, 3-pin wall socket and limits the current going to your caravan to 10 amps, so you can run the van off the house at home, at the bach or at a mate's place. It's a 1 metre lead with a waterproof window, and it's SAA certified to AS/NZS 3820:2009. If the outlet is a fair way from where you park, pair it with the Southern Alps 16A 15m Caravan Extension Lead ($59.99). More power gear lives in Electrical & Solar.

2. Eternabond Web Seal Tape – 2" x 15.2m Roll – $99.99

Roof leaks are the job every owner dreads, and spring is when you find them. WebSeal has a woven backing coated in Eternabond's MicroSealant, which makes it very flexible. It forms around almost anything, from a seam or tear to a screw head, and stays flexible once it's on. Applied properly, it doesn't lose its adhesion. It works on EPDM, TPO, most PVC, metals, concrete, masonry and wood. If it's going somewhere in the sun, protect it with a UV protector or a quality roof coating. 3. maXflo NS40 12V Water Pressure Pump – 40PSI, 17L/min – $190.00

If the tap splutters on the first trip of the season, the pump is usually the culprit. The NS40 is a 12V, 3-chamber pump that pushes 17 litres a minute at 40PSI, enough for motorhome showers and galley taps. It has a built-in pressure switch, comes with a water strainer/filter, runs quietly and can run dry without damage. It was designed for the marine environment, so boat owners buy it for wash-down systems too. Browse more in our RV plumbing collection.
4. Autoterm Comfort Control Panel with LED Display – $280.00

Spring nights can still be cold, especially down south. This panel is built for Autoterm diesel heaters and swaps a basic on/off switch for proper climate control. The LED readout shows your current cabin temperature, your setpoint and the operating mode at a glance. It's a popular upgrade for people who already run an Autoterm heater in a motorhome, campervan or boat and want to set a temperature and leave it. Have a look at Marine & RV Air Heaters for more.

5. Horrex Flyscreen & Blind 960x600 – $351.50

Our headline pick for comfort. Summer evenings in the van are great until the sandflies and mozzies arrive. The Horrex combines a pleated insect screen and a sun-protection blind in one compact unit, sized for 960mm x 600mm windows. Both layers are controlled together in one smooth movement, so you can switch from airflow without the bugs to shade and privacy in moments. It's a tidy upgrade for anyone replacing a tired old blind. More options are in Window Blinds.
