Thule VeloSlide Bike Rack: Two E-Bikes In Your RV Garage, Loaded From Outside (RVP579)
Load two e-bikes into your motorhome garage without ever climbing inside. The Thule VeloSlide Bike Rack (SKU RVP579) slides right out to you.
Anyone who has wrestled an e-bike into an RV garage knows the routine: crouch, lift, shuffle sideways, bang your knuckles on the doorframe, then do it all again in reverse when you want the bike out. E-bikes have made it worse ā they are heavier, wider in the tyre and far less forgiving to manhandle in a confined space.
The Thule VeloSlide fixes the problem in the simplest possible way: instead of you going into the garage, the bike rack comes out to you.
ā ļø Last one available in New Zealand ā and at the lowest price you'll find. We have a single Thule VeloSlide (RVP579) left in stock at $2,739 NZD, down from $2,759.99. Once it's gone, it's a wait on the next shipment from Europe. Secure it here.
How it works
The VeloSlide mounts on mounting rails fixed to the floor of your motorhome garage. The rack itself slides out up to 1.5 metres, so both bikes are loaded, strapped and adjusted while you stand comfortably outside the vehicle. Once loaded, the rack glides back in. Need to get at other gear? Slide it in only part of the way, or push it to one side.
When the bikes are out and you want your garage back, the rack slides aside or lifts out completely ā leaving only the low-profile mounting rails on the garage floor.
Built for e-bikes
- 2 bikes, up to 35 kg per bike and 70 kg total ā genuine e-bike capacity
- Tyres up to 70 mm wide, so fat-ish e-bike and gravel tyres are no problem
- 250 mm between bikes ā enough clearance to avoid bars, cranks and paint damage
- Adjustable soft-touch frame holders that grip without marking; optional locking knobs available
- Wheel fixations with pump-buckle straps to stop the wheels wandering
- Bike position can be optimised without tools ā even with the bike already on the rack
- Automatic lockable platform and One-Key System compatible, so it matches the rest of your Thule locks
A word on garage height
The VeloSlide makes clever use of vertical space, which is how it fits larger bikes into a modest footprint. Before you buy, measure the internal height of your garage against the height of your bikes with the rack in place. If you're not sure, send us your garage dimensions and bike model and we'll check it with you.

Who it suits
If you tour New Zealand with two e-bikes and you are tired of the lift-and-shuffle, this is the rack. It suits owners of larger motorhomes with a rear garage who want their bikes stored inside ā out of the salt air, out of the sun, and out of sight ā while still being able to unload them in under a minute at the campground.
Last one in New Zealand ā lowest price
There is one VeloSlide left in the country and it's ours, at the lowest price in New Zealand. If it's on your list for this summer's touring, now is the time.
