The Davey DynaDrive is a compact all-in-one constant pressure system that uses a variable speed drive to maintain steady water pressure throughout your home — regardless of how many outlets are running at once. Whether you're on tank water or a mains supply that needs boosting, the DynaDrive adjusts its speed to match demand, so your shower stays consistent even when the washing machine is going.
Available in three models — the DD60-10, DD90-11, and DD160-19 PRO — to suit homes from standard residential through to large properties with high flow demand. Select your model from the dropdown.
All hydraulic parts that contact the water are stainless steel. Each unit includes an integrated pressure tank and ships as a complete, ready-to-install system.
Tested in compliance with AS/NZS 4020 for use in contact with safe drinking water. Manufactured under ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
Professional installation by a licensed plumber is recommended.

How it works
The DynaDrive uses a horizontal multistage centrifugal pump paired with a variable speed drive controller. Instead of running at a fixed speed, it modulates motor speed to maintain your set pressure as demand rises and falls. Open another tap and the pump speeds up; close it and the pump slows down. The result is consistent pressure at every outlet without the pressure spikes and drops common with fixed-speed systems.
The integrated pressure tank provides a small buffer volume that reduces short-cycling and smooths out minor fluctuations in demand.
Suitable for: household and domestic water supply, tank and rainwater pressure boosting, irrigation, farming and agricultural systems, and turf watering.
Note: pressure boosting applications are subject to local regulations. Check with your plumber before installation.

FAQ
Which model is right for my home?
The DD60-10 suits standard single-level homes with moderate demand. The DD90-11 is the step up for larger homes or where multiple outlets run simultaneously. The DD160-19 PRO is for large homes, lifestyle blocks, and high-demand properties — it's also the only model rated for daisy chain applications of up to four pumps. If you're not sure, get in touch with your property size and water source and we'll point you in the right direction.
What does the variable speed drive do?
It adjusts the motor speed in real time to match your water demand. Rather than switching on at full speed and off again, the pump modulates continuously — maintaining consistent pressure at every outlet and reducing energy use and wear compared to fixed-speed systems.
Can I use it with rainwater or tank water?
Yes, provided the water is clean and clear. The DynaDrive is rated for clean, non-corrosive, non-flammable liquids with no fibres and minimal sand or abrasives (maximum 40g/m³). Heavily turbid or silty water should be pre-filtered. Get in touch if you're unsure whether your water source is suitable.
Does it come with a pressure tank?
Yes. All three models include an integrated pressure tank as part of the unit — no separate tank purchase or installation required.
What is the default operating pressure?
The factory set point is 400 kPa (40m). This is adjustable via the controller to suit your property and plumbing setup.
How loud is it?
The DynaDrive uses a TEFC motor with sealed, greased-for-life bearings and is designed for economical, quiet running. Variable speed operation also reduces noise compared to fixed-speed pumps that cycle on and off at full speed.
Do I need a plumber to install it?
Yes — professional installation by a licensed plumber is recommended. The pump connects via BSP fittings and needs to be correctly integrated with your water supply and pressure system. Note that pressure boosting applications may be subject to local regulations.
Can I pair it with a water filter?
Yes. Installing a whole-house filter upstream of the DynaDrive protects the pump from sediment and extends its service life. Get in touch for filter recommendations suited to your water source.
What does the AS/NZS 4020 compliance mean?
It means the pump has been tested in compliance with the standard for products used in contact with safe drinking water — covering materials and their potential effects on water quality.
What warranty applies?
2 years, backed by Davey's NZ dealer network.
