The Davey Microlene W10J25MM is a 10" jumbo filter housing built for whole-house use. It accepts 10" jumbo (Big Blue) cartridges — the larger format that delivers higher flow rates and longer service intervals than standard housings. With 25mm (1") ports, it connects directly to standard NZ mains and tank water supplies.

Choosing a cartridge
If you select a housing with cartridge, here's what each option does:
20 micron pleated sediment
Removes sand, grit, rust, and coarse particles. A good first-stage filter for tank water and bore supplies with visible sediment. High flow, cleanable and reusable.
1 micron polyspun sediment
Removes fine silt, dust, and rust particles. Ideal for polishing water to clarity, or as a pre-filter before carbon or UV treatment.
5 micron carbon block
Removes chlorine taste, odour, and organic compounds. The right choice for town supply where taste and smell are the concern.

FAQ
What size cartridges does this housing take?
It takes 10" jumbo cartridges — 4.5" (114mm) outside diameter. These are sometimes called Big Blue cartridges. Standard 10" cartridges (2.5" diameter) will not fit.
What's the difference between a standard and jumbo housing?
The jumbo format holds a larger cartridge — more media volume means better flow rates, higher dirt-holding capacity, and longer service intervals. For whole-house use, jumbo is the right choice.
What does WaterMark certification mean?
WaterMark (WMTS-103, Lic. 032114) means the housing has been independently tested and certified to meet Australian and New Zealand plumbing standards. It's a mandatory certification for plumbing products in NZ and Australia.
What does AS/NZS 4020 mean?
It means the housing has been tested for use in contact with drinking water — covering the materials used and their effect on water quality. Not all housings carry this; it's a meaningful differentiator.
Does it come with a cartridge?
The housing is available with or without a cartridge. Select from the dropdown — housing only, or housing with your preferred 10" jumbo cartridge.
Why does it have a pressure relief valve?
The pressure relief valve releases pressure from the housing before you unscrew the bowl. Without it, a pressurised housing can be very difficult — and occasionally dangerous — to open. Press the valve, hear the hiss, then unscrew.
How often do I need to change the cartridge?
It depends on the cartridge type and your water quality. Most cartridges are replaced every 6–12 months. A drop in flow rate or pressure is usually the first sign it's time to change.
Do I need a plumber to install it?
The housing is designed for DIY installation and connects via standard female thread fittings. Many customers install these themselves. If you're unsure about your plumbing setup, a plumber can do it quickly.
What warranty applies?
The housing carries a 1-year warranty. Cartridges are consumable items and are not covered by warranty, but get in touch if anything arrives damaged or defective.
