Description
Great winter jig, cold water jig. Tip this with a wax worm or spike and you are set to catch fish. Thin strips of plastic lure can also be used on these lightweight jigs that flutter. The teardrop jigs are for smaller baits - bluegill, perch, crappie, trout and many other species.
This hook rides at a thirty degree angle for instant hook sets. You can tip the jig with a whole minnow, minnow head, plastic or bugs.
Different colors are good for changes in light conditions as well as deeper and shallow water.
It is also an excellent option for fishing current, be sure to use light line for less resistance. Open water anglers have caught onto tungsten jigs also and can be used year 'round.
