Kowa TSN-PZ Digiscoping SLR Camera Adapter for 88mm and 77mm Series

Turn your spotting scope into a true long-lens system with the TSN-PZ. Lightweight, compact, and quick to deploy, this digiscoping adapter lets you capture wildlife and expansive landscapes with the reach of a 680–1000mm focal length, delivering sharp detail from distances that would be challenging with a standard camera lens.

Direct, streamlined digiscoping

Unlike many setups, the TSN-PZ attaches directly to the bodies of the scope and the camera (with a T ring, sold separately). This design removes the complexity of bulky rigs, giving you a clean, efficient path from setup to shot. Simply mount in place of an eyepiece, attach your T ring, and connect to the camera’s lens mount. The result is a dependable rig that’s ready when you are.

Key specifications and compatibility

  • Designed for Kowa 88mm and 77mm series spotting scopes (88mm/77mm family)
  • Focal length: 680–1000mm, enabling both wide framing and tight, detailed capture
  • Mounting: Directly to the scope body and DSLR bodies; manual focus controlled by the scope’s focus rings
  • Camera connection: Requires a camera-specific Kowa TSN-CM2 T2 mount (sold separately); a T ring is also sold separately

What you’ll love about it

  • Simple setup: Cut through the guesswork with a straightforward, eyepiece-free digiscoping path that’s easier to operate in the field
  • Flexible framing: Use the 680–1000mm range to compose with the scene first, then lock in a tight shot when the moment happens
  • Lightweight portability: A compact profile that travels well, letting you bring long-distance capabilities to remote locations without added bulk
  • Precision control: Preserve image sharpness by relying on the scope’s own focusing action, ensuring consistent focus across shots

Ideal use cases

  • Wildlife and bird photography from a respectful distance, capturing intricate feather details and distant features
  • Landscape compositions where distant foregrounds or mountaintops require significant reach
  • Field work where a quick, reliable setup is essential for capturing fleeting behavior or light changes
