Mighty Standard Stress-Free Drum Winch

Stress-free anchor retrieval from this compact winch.

The Mighty will suit boats to 10 metres plus.

• 1700 watt motor
• All 316 marine-grade stainless steel
• Baseplate 8mm marine grade stainless steel in three parts and welded
• The diameter of the drum is 400mm
• Maximum lifting capacity 350 kilos (when the drum diameter is small)
• Holding capacity at anchor is 3600 kilos
• Rated to 135 amps
• Normal running the Stress-Free will use 25 – 30 amps and underload up to 55 amps
• To protect the motor, the circuit breaker will trip out if there is a power overload (for example, if the anchor is stuck on the bottom).
• Recommend dual batteries with the battery switch on BOTH
• Can be deck-mounted

Drum Capacity

• 170 meters of 8mm nylon plus 8 meters of 8mm short link chain OR
• 130 meters of 10mm nylon plus 8 meters of 8mm short link chain OR
• 100 meters of 12mm nylon plus 8 meters of 8mm short link chain

The gearbox mounting holes in the mounting bracket allow the motor and drive to be installed at four angles to suit different anchor well configurations. Another eight adjustment angles are available at 30º and 45º from the basic four mounting holes.


NB: The chain length can be lengthened or shortened to meet individual needs. In these situations, the amount of rope must be tailored to ensure a maintained clearance between the chain and the baseplate.
