Maxwell’s all-new HRC10 Horizontal Series represents another performance and anchor handling breakthrough. These horizontal, fully automatic rope/chain windlasses have been designed to meet the demands for use on larger vessels up to 16 meters [52 feet], which require an utterly above-deck installation system.

The HRC10 flawlessly handles rope up to 16mm [5/8 inches] and chains up to 10mm [3/8 inch] in size, including the thick rope-to-chain splice. The HRC10 Series' modern appearance retains the classic good looks of the previous Maxwell horizontal windlasses while incorporating design features years ahead of its competitors.

Horizontal models are better suited to applications with extreme deck thickness [over 200mm - 8 inches], limited below-deck accessibility, or when two anchors must be handled from one winch.
