Double Tuna Trolling Hooks
A tuna trolling hook has a special design to make it easier to catch the fish. It has a bend in it and a barb that makes it harder for the fish to escape. This type of hook is made for tuna fishing, but you can use it for other types of fishing as well.
What are they?
Tuna trolling hooks are made to be used while you are trolling at sea. They come in different sizes and shapes, but they all have three basic parts:
Point- The sharp end that goes through or near the fish's mouth when you catch it.
Barb- A small barb on the point that keeps the fish from pulling out without tearing its mouth or gills. It also helps keep the point from bending over when you reel in your line with too much force.
Shank- The long part attached to the line.
